Type of Editing I Can Offer

 

• Proofreading: Correcting punctuation, grammatical and spelling errors, as well as, adjusting wording to provide proper syntax, where needed.

• Copy Editing: Catching inconsistencies in the text. Depending on the document this could include any combination of some re-working of the text, re-structuring of paragraphs, improving vocabulary choice and word substitutions, etc. - all with attention given to correct style and flow.

• Liability: Please be aware that I cannot take responsibility for plagiarism and other abuse or misuse of texts.

 

At the Outset

 

I will ask for a portion of the document to be edited in order to see how much editing will be needed to help create a clean and flowing text. For short pieces this could be the first three pages; for longer, the first third, or first chapter in the case of a book(let). Based on this review, I will advise the client as to an approximate time needed for editing their work.

Rates

​

Rates are variable, based on length and complexity of document and the deadline for completion. They will be set after seeing the project and consulting with the client about the type of completed document needed.
